Lynton & Lynmouth may be a small fishing village, but has a huge range of pubs, cafes, restaurants, take-aways… everything you will need whether your out for a few local ales or having a stroll and wanting a bag of fish and chips.

We are no strangers to the local restaurants and pubs, and here is a few of our favourites, right on the doorstep but some a little further away (but well worth the extra travel).

The Pavilion Dining Room

This pet friendly dining room is located on the first floor of the Exmoor National Park Visitor Centre, with some of the best views in the area out to sea, right next to the Cliff railway where you can watch the historical engineering still work to this date. From breakfast and lunch menus, to cream teas, soft drinks, wine and beer available. Everything you will need after a long walk exploring.

The Staghunter’s Inn

The Staghunter’s Inn is a traditional style restaurant/pub which serves local food and drink. With a beer garden along the front for a relaxing bit of food or drink with the family.  Lots of food options serving, breakfast, lunch and dinner with local ales, vegetarian drinks and food and more.

The Bakehouse

A traditional pasty shop located opposite Lynmouth harbour serving delicious freshly baked pasties, scones, cream teas, hot drinks and other tastes refreshments for eat-in and take-away.

Que Pasa

Mexican Bar & restaurant on Lynmouth Street, opens from 6pm with last orders being 9:30. A great atmosphere with cocktails, drinks, authentic Mexican food and a really quirky setting.

The Lyndale Tea Rooms

Tasty tearoom located in the the centre of Lynmouth with lots of tearoom favourites. The cream teas are well known locally for their tastiness!

The Rising Sun

A local restarunt, passionate about local food. Serving fresh product cooked just how you like it! With a menu for everyone from fish lovers to vegetarians and the best of the coast and countryside combined. Fantastic drink and wine to supplement your meal out. Perfect for special occasions out or a romantic meal for two when visiting.

The Cracker Barrel

An independent family run restaurant serving a huge selection of burgers, ribs, steak, chicken and pizza in the evenings. With pizzas cooked to order in the authentic flame oven, the family wanted to bring traditional American style food to the coast of the UK.

Cliff Top Cafe

As the name suggests, at the top of the cliff from the cliff railway you can enjoy lovely refreshments and food with stunning views over the water and beyond. Busy on a summers day but always a welcome break when exploring the local areas.
